Drill Test Results
Doing drill is the ability to execute drill movements individually and as a team. Many of you have put in good effort individually. It must also be realised we cannot do it alone. And the only way to pass a challenge is together, as a squad.
The idea: “I can only perform drill movements properly with friends that I am comfortable with.” Shows a mindset change is needed because drill can always be done even with strangers if all know how to respond to the commands. This has also been beautifully seen in previous Selangor State Drill Competitions where teams are merged on the spot to do drill.

Individually ONLY, the following recruits have passed:
– Ashton Jaden Lee Glova
– Bryan Leong Yon Zen
– Chan Hui-Ern Abby
– Chew Jia Jun (Joshua)
– Diong Teck Wern
– Hannah Mae Chua
– Hannah Yong
– Isabel Kow qiao en
– Izac Ng Yu Yang
– Jane Tan Jia En
– Janice Loh Jie Ni
– Joelle Yeow Tze Xuan
– Jonathan Lee McCullagh
– Joshua Yeow Tze Wei
– Lee Ri Guang
– Lim Qiao Yi
– Poon Damien
– Sam Mu Zen Wei
– Samuel Kong
– Tan Qi Yu
– Tan Xuan Ning
– Tricia Chong Shu Jing

As a Squad, none passed.

Pointers and questions:
– Is the foot drill that we do an individual competition?

– Will being the best will help, if we do not help others who struggle?

– If we don’t communicate with each other during drill, can we fix mistakes drill instructors mention?

– Are we having the mindset of graduating as privates together?

– What is stopping us from helping a fellow recruit?

Drill Test Resit on on 30th July 2022

This will be the final re-sit, ALL recruits will re-sit the exam.

In the coming 2 weeks, do your best to prepare yourself and know how to do each movement. Once that is done, start teaching and helping your friends.

Regards,
SSGT Joshua Ng.
