Hey seniors, an update on awards.
ATHLETICS
Athletics awards was scheduled for this Saturday, however due to the venue being booked for an event this Saturday, there is a change of date to Sunday instead.
DATE: 11 June 2017 (Sunday)
TIME: 4.30 PM – 6.30 PM
VENUE: Stadium Matsushita, Shah Alam (see Google maps here)
Please do inform me if you are coming for athletics this Sunday.
DRILL
Assessments for drill start this week for both Drill Basic and Drill Advance.
For Drill Basic, written assessment covers chapter 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and Appendix II.
For Drill Advance, written assessment covers chapter 7, 8, 9 and 10.
Drill practical includes uniform inspection, commanding and drill.
Drill written assessment: 10 June & 17 June
Drill practical: 1 July & 8 July
For written assessment, the 17 June sitting is for those who are outstation on 10 June. Written assessment on 17 June will be carried out after parade, and it is a one hour paper. Please take note that for written assessments, only one resit is allowed. Resits will be carried out either on 1 July or 8 July.
FIRE & RESCUE
All assessments for F&R will be carried out on 17 June, it has two components to it namely practical and written assessment. Please prepare for it.
COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE
For those who have not sat for the open book assessment, it will be done again on 17 June at the same time Fire and Rescue assessment is carried out.

Members who have been attending physical training regularly, there will be a calisthenics assessment on 17 June. Basically it’s all the sit ups, burpees etc you’ve all been doing.
CAMPERS & EXPEDITION
These two awards are applicable for members who attended the 4 days 3 nights senior camp. There will be an open book test for both campers basic and advance posted online by 17 June, print it out and hand it in by 1 July to Lt Yee Shean.
All who went for Seniors Camp and completed the two hikes below qualify for expedition basic.
a. Hike in to campsite with own luggage
b. Hike up to Bukit Batu Putih and Ulu Geruntum waterfall on Day 3

8 July – Joshua Ng, Lee Yang Guang, Sarah Low, Alicia Ng
AWARDS APPLICATION
Awards Application deadline will be 8 July 2017 at 2359 Hours. (The only award you don’t have to apply for is drill award)
For awards that require certificates, please bring your certificates, exam slips etc on 17 June.
OTHERS
For those who have reports to be handed in (eg. those who have completed enough hours for Community Service), please do so by 30 June 2017.

REMINDER: Please do note that a minimal 75% attendance of normal parade is required for attaining awards.
